What in the world is a Kiyote?
The Kiyote is walking, talking coyote. Before he came to the Forbidden Forest he lived in the town of Smud.
What’s Next for the Kiyote?
The Kiyote Tales were originally going to be a trilogy, but there was just too much story to tell! I now have 4 books published and a 5th almost done. Keep your eyes out later this year (2026).

Benjamin D Upton II, author
Kiyote Tales is my first foray into writing an actual book. The stories began when my son was just a hatchling. I had a coyote puppet that I would use to tell him stories at night. Every other night for the next 12 years the puppet, who’s name became the Kiyote, would tell him stories. Over time the stories took a life of their own and before I knew it we had come up with an entire world that was ready for exploration.
